Farley & Partners LLP Supports Career Gear Houston for Third-Year

August 4, 2022

The firm's donation supports Career Gear Houston’s efforts to help men recently released from incarceration find gainful employment and reclaim their lives. Among the firm's core values is giving back to the community and supporting those in need. 2022 is the third-year that the firm has served as a corporate sponsor of this local non-profit organization.

The RISE Reentry Program is a series of supportive services and soft skills that combat the challenges faced by the reentry population. Launched in 2016, RISE has served 1,200 men walking them through how to create a narrative around the time they spent incarcerated. The series focuses on three vital assets to gaining employment: Networking - Telling Your Story, Resume Development, and Mastering the Interview. This fall, Farley & Partners LLP will provide professional head shots for the clients who are participating in the series. Firm personnel also are volunteering their time to provide mentoring and coaching support to participants.

“Farley & Partners is privileged to support the RISE Reentry Program. We consider the men in this program to be resilient and possessing an individual story worth hearing and elevating," said Mark M. Farley, who leads the firm's community relations efforts. Farley added, "our hope is that the program will continue to assist men overcome the stigma associated with being an ex-offender."

Career Gear Houston's Executive Director Jamay M. Schardien expressed appreciation for the firm's support: “We are thankful for the continued partnership of organizations like Farley & Partners LLP that are willing to see beyond the blemishes we all have and see Americans in need of a Hand Up, not a Handout.”
